Microcosm
A Microcosm is a member community that participates in decisionmaking for Macrocosm. A Maintainer is a member of a Microcosm. Maintainers cannot be part of multiple Microcosms.
A Microcosm has a single vote in binding decisions. For example, if there is a vote presented to change the Macrocosm name, each Microcosm will have a single vote. Microcosms are free to choose how their votes are decided.
Each Microcosm decides how to propose or introduce votes to all other Microcosms. As a general rule, each Microcosm is expected to operate independently of other Microcosms.
Maintainer
A maintainer is someone who is selected by a Microcosm to be trusted with responsibilities pertaining to the upkeep and development of Macrocosm. Maintainers are ultimately responsible for the website, repository, and any other projects that may be created under the Macrocosm project.
Triage
The triage team are maintainers responsible for the bureaucratic processing of pull requests and other project proposals. Triage handles the categorization of all pull requests and facilitates the voting process for each where applicable. The triage team consists of at least one representative from each Microcosm.
Being part of triage does not restrict a maintainer from contributing to Macrocosm in any other way in which they desire, but it is highly discouraged for a member of triage to process their own projects.
